Poni Express rolls back into town. I expect a strong bounce back game from NJ. |

Poni should help make space for Zajac and Kovy. Plus the d-men can take shots at him and he can tip them towards the net |

Maybe they should take him off the 1st line and let him center Elias/Clarkson.
Either way we're doomed, PHI should win 12-2 tonight. |

I like Henrique better than Zajac on both line, unfortunately. I think Zajac needs to play a very simplistic game to be effective, and players like Kovy, Elias, and Clarkson really don't play a simple game. |

He needs Parise. Clarkson plays a pretty simple game in my opinion. |

Clarkson holds on to the puck for long stretches. He doesn't cycle the puck quickly but slows the play down and uses his size to protect the puck. |

How bout dropping him to the 4th line and let JJ center the 2nd line and Henrique center the 1st? Maybe a move to the 4th will light a fire under his ass. |

I was thinking that, although we could still make our current third line our 4th. I don't think JJ needs a bigger role than 3rd line. So maybe:
Poni-Lokti-Kovy
Elias-Henrique-Clarkson
JJ-Zajac-Zubrus
Carter-Gio-Bernier
But that's a lot of responsibility for Lokti, and its not even a sure thing he'll be effective at the NHL level. I also like someone that can win faceoffs centering Kovy. No need to have Kovy chasing the puck everytime he's out there because his center is 40% on the draw. |

Or maybe move Elias back to center?
Poni-Henrique-Kovy
Zubrus-Elias-Clarkson
JJ-Zajac-Butler
Carter-Gio-Bernier
Zajac hasn't been terrible, so a move isn't necessary. His lack of production is a bit troubling though. Maybe a winger like Poni who can keep up with the line will help. |

he hasnt been THAT bad, he'll come around on his own. The Elias-Henrique-Clarky line is doing too well to split up too |

The thing about Zajac is that its easy to give him ice time. He can play any situation, so even if we put him on the third line, and he'll still get a good chunk of minutes. It could really balance out our lines like last year, and help create a little offense for Butler and JJ. He won't be facing top pairing either. |

I don't like Elias at center, i'd rather he stay on the wing.
True Zajac hasn't been terrible but maybe he's feeling some pressure of being up on that 1st line and not producing many points.
Move him off that line for a few shifts or maybe even an entire game and see if he loosens up a bit. |

Zajac may not be putting up the points, but he isn't playing bad hockey. The Devils continue to win, too. It's not like he's costing us games. He's getting his chances, the points will come have some faith. |

What is it everyone dislikes about JJ lately to be honest I love the way he can skate the puck up the ice yea he needs to work on finishing but at the shame time he is pretty good from what I have seen at carrying the puck up the ice and into the offensive zone the same way Gomez could but maybe I see that and it makes me not pay attention what he isn't doing |

I'm more confident when he has the puck than I am when Salvador or Volchenkov do. Especially Volchenkov. |
